Khaire Hekate Apotropaia!

She Who Protects. She Who Turns Away.

You are my shield. That has meant, at times, that You protected me from myself. 

You once turned me away. You protected me from what would happen if someone else won the game they were playing.

Oh, but I know... that's not what it means. It means You turn away whatever might do harm, and it means this, and it means that...and I can hear those voices that are not Yours, yet would attempt to speak on Your behalf. Those of us who know You do not all know You the same way. And by that point, the only way left to protect me was to turn me away. I know where I was. I know what it means. 

But I still don't know how I feel about it. Or is it always changing?

I still need Your protection. Not in exactly the same ways as before, and not for exactly the same reasons. You gave me life when you turned me away. Hekate Apotropaia, I pray that You protect me so that life can grow and thrive and serve You. I pray that my home is safe, my boundaries not crossed, my body safe, my mind and spirit no longer harmed. I pray that those who would cause harm in those ways feel You fling them away so fast and hard they dare not try it again.
