Khaire Hekate Lampadios!

Lampadios. Lamp-bearer. Lightbringer.

You have so many names, and some of them seem to overlap in meaning. I don't know if this is originally as simple as synonyms, or if it is that these different-yet-overlapping names served different purposes. To me, they sometimes seem to speak of slightly different aspects of You.

When I call to You as Dadophorus is when I call to You as Torchbearer. When I call to You as Lampadios is when I call to You as Lightbringer. Lamp, Torch... it's all light, yes? Oh, but they can be different lights! One leads me through the darkness and can also protect me. One illuminates all that is.

You are, in so many ways, a part of the darkness itself. You are also the light. I feel I know You, and also that I can never understand You. That it is only that I see the parts You show. Very limited, and "seeing" is not the same as "understanding".

Let the fire of my mind burn, that I may know.

Let the well of my heart flow, that I may feel.

Let the tree of my soul grow, that I may understand.

The fire is light. The tree needs light. The well may reflect light.
