Hekate Einalia

Hail Hekate Einalia, Empress of the Dark Seas!

I had concerns about some of the work I've been doing. Concerns about the risk of it leading me to wander too far from my devotion to You, Glorious Hekate. I prayed to ask that You light the path and lead me back if that were to happen. Not only has it not happened so far, but I also find I'm actually lead to looking at You in different forms. For the first time, I'm getting glimpses of You not just being connected to the waters in some way, but You being the waters.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm making the mistake of looking at Your blessings from a monotheistic perspective and simply calling it henotheism. I worry at times that I don't truly have what it takes to understand there being many of the Shining Immortal Ones. But I do believe many exist. I do believe I've known the presence of Pan, and that my agreements with Hermes are truly with Hermes. I have had brushes with beings I have not developed deeper relationships with, but I know those experiences are real and do not believe those beings are all one.

You alone, though, are so...much. I see You in so many places, called by so many Names. Sometimes it's difficult to process the idea that there are so many more than just You, because sometimes it feels like there can't be more. I know what I have experienced, and it is all so much more than I can fully rationally process. The stories say You are Most Honored. That even Zeus honors You. Still, I know I understand so little that the other Immortal Ones are also too much. I am astounded, and honored to get even a glimpse of an echo of a whisper of a hint of such glory! To even begin to examine how it is possible for each of you to be so much when all I know is so small...

I thank You, Glorious Hekate, for the blessing of knowing You. There was a time when I thought I would never again bow before an Immortal One and thank them for allowing me to serve them. Tides shift, flow changes, and I know how now is different from then. And so I thank You. Thank You for accepting my devotion. Thank You for Your guidance, Your blessings, and Your presence.
