Keys

Glorious Hekate Kleidoukhos!

So often, I have felt all there is for me in the darkness is being lost. "Being in the dark" about something is a phrase to describe confusion and lack of knowledge and insight. We speak of those moments of finding the answers as "illumination".

You teach me, though, that many answers are found in the dark. The keys are waiting. It is in the dark that I often stumble around, looking for a key to unlock the next door. We meet in that darkness.

At my age, society has trained us to believe we should be set in life. That we're too old to still be finding our way. But You are so much older, Mother, and an entire human lifetime isn't even a full breath for You. You show me that there are always keys to find. So many more doors, gates, and locks than the human mind can truly comprehend! I thank You for leading me to them. I thank You for leading me to keep growing.

I thank You for showing me the keys.
