She of Many Names! Daughter of Destruction, born of the Stars! Soul of the World! Empress! Queen of the Night! Guardian!

Mother!

In some stories, we understand You as having never given birth. In other stories, we understand You as having given birth to beings known as monsters. The idea of You as Mother, though...there are multiple ways to become a Mother. Those of us who know You as Mother have no doubt that, however it came to be, You are definitely Mother. You are also so much more. Your many, many names are only little hints of You. Your full gloriousness is more than we can understand.

I know that...and I still work to understand more. I know You are more than my limit, but I don't know what my limit is. I would not want to cheat myself out of knowing more of You.

Glorious Hekate Einalia, Empress of the Dark Seas! It is World Ocean Day. I thank You for Your presence in my life as the Lake Monster, and more recently as Mother Hydra. I thank You for the alligator who followed the boat. I thank You for the lakes, rivers, and beaches. I thank You for humpback whales. I thank You for the turtles. I thank You for baths, showers, swimming pools, and glasses of water to drink. I thank You for rainy days and thriving plants. I thank You for the aquatic entry to other realms. I thank You for Your presence in everything that exists in our physical world, as well as the many ways water exists in other worlds. Khaire Hekate Einalia! Praise Lake Monster! Iä Mother Hydra!
