Offering of Souls

What are souls, really? We don't know. We don't have scientific proof that they exist, and many different cultures and religions have described them in different ways. Mostly, we understand a soul to be the eternal essence of what makes an individual themself. That even identical twins aren't the same person because they have unique souls. That an individual is more than just what we understand the body to be made of.

But I have been many people. I still am. I am one mind and one body with a lot of different experiences. Always growing, learning...transforming. And there are many versions of myself that never fully came to be physically, but they were each real in their own ways.

I know it would be argued that all of those versions of myself are still tied to one soul, but don't those become different versions of my soul? It's not a question that has a simple answer. I guess it depends on how one approaches the question. Instead of the Ship of Theseus, it's the Soul of Theseus question.

If the different versions of myself can also be counted as different souls, then I offer them all to You, Mother. More and more, as I understand You as Einalia, I understand You have always nurtured and guided me. You have been part of every version of me. All of me belong to You.
