"May you never thirst..."
Glorious Mother Hekate! I'm not sure if I should come to You right now as Einalia or Pammetor. Maybe both. I don't think You're ever really taking the identity of just one of Your epithets. You are so complex in such beautiful ways...I think You're always all of them, plus even more that we haven't been able to understand about You.
I've been remembering and telling stories about a certain time when I was younger. A certain group of friends in that time. How we went through the water to bond with and love each other. In some ways, it all seems so silly now that I look back on it. In other ways...we came closer to Knowing than we could have realized. The very fact that we were so young and inexperienced with the world made it all so pure and possible.
I know just enough of how life has gone for other members of that group since then that I know I may be the one of us who has experienced the most comfort and abundance in life. That's a terrifying idea, given what my life has been. We may never all sit at the same table again, but we do still all drink the same water in some ways. I wish humans as a whole could learn that! We all drink the same water! We may be sitting at different tables, wearing different clothes, getting it served in different glasses...but we drink from the same water. And I want to ask, Mother, that You bless those friends from my youth. Remind them, and let them feel the love and share it again.
May they never thirst.
