Passion
Khaire Hekate! Mother, we speak of You carrying fire when we speak of You as the Torchbearer who lights the way. But does carrying that torch include lighting the way for us to find our passions? Is it also a fire of inspiration at times?
I've been thinking a lot lately about how I don't always recognize it when I find something I'm passionate about. Everything is passion with me! So I don't always recognize what's happening when the fire burns down to just enough light to keep me searching and studying, and the peaceful feeling of wholeness and being this beautiful entity that is not defined by physical needs and limitations that comes with it. The things I am most passionate about calm me. They are things I can devote myself to long term, and the work that comes with them will always give me a sense of fulfillment.
Quiet passion. That's usually a description of something someone is passionate about but does not share. It's understood that they experience the passion as it is commonly described, but they hide it...keep it quiet. For me, though, it would seem my passions are quieting. They calm me. They put me in a state of peace. They... I don't have the words. I can say a lot of words about a lot of things that put me in a fiery, energized state. My passions don't need all the words, though. They simply are. And I am.
Thank You for making this journey with me, Mother. Thank You for guiding me.
